We're still sorting out the look of the site, so feel free to offer up suggestions (bearing in mind our somewhat limited web design skills). We've been moving buttons around in response to comments that they were hard to find and so hopefully that has been improved.
We have two great interviews coming up soon. The first will be with Gina Gershon. It's very interesting because her approach to acting (using dreams and symbols) is very different from the other interviews we've had so far. Then we have an excellent interview with Paul Mazursky, who has much to say both as an actor and as a director well know for his work with actors. And I think we'll be able to get at least one more short with Christopher Walken and Martin Landau cut together for their pages. So be sure to subscribe to the site via iTunes. There's a lot more coming.
Meanwhile, Barry is off to Moscow to teach at a new film school, the "International Film Actors Workshop" It's their first course and they will concentrate on helping stage actors make the transition into film.
He knows it's a little like bringing "Coals to Newcastle," an American teaching in a country where so much of the vocabulary of modern acting was established. But he couldn't resist the chance to visit the "Moscow Art Theater," where Stanislavski developed so much of the theories actors now use, and where so many fabled productions were done. He's also going to make a special pilgrimage to visit Chekhov's home- probably the most revered writer by western actors and directors. I'm hoping he'll bring back some interesting footage of it all to share with us on Inner Object.
